Licensing & Certification Requirements in San Antonio

To qualify for our therapy and nursing jobs – San Antonio, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:*

Nursing/RN

State-approved nursing degree (ADN, BSN, or equivalent)
Pass the NCLEX-RN exam
Apply to the Texas Board of Nursing
Current Texas licensure or proof of good standing in another state
Completion of the Texas Nursing Jurisprudence Exam
Fingerprint-based criminal history check

Physical Therapist

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) – or equivalent accredited degree
Must be a CAPTE-accredited program
Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination
Application through Texas ECPTOTE, including state requirements
Completion of Texas Jurisprudence Assessment Module (TX JAM)
Fingerprint-based criminal history check

Occupational Therapist

ACOTE-accredited OT program (bachelor’s or master’s)
Pass the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
Complete supervised fieldwork (internship / clinical experience) requirements
Completion of the Texas Jurisprudence Exam
Fingerprint-based criminal history check

Speech Language Pathologists

Master’s degree (or higher) in communicative sciences, speech-language pathology, or a related field.
Complete 400 hours of supervised clinical practicum and 36 weeks of supervised professional experience
Submit a completed application to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
Completion of the Texas Jurisprudence Exam
Fingerprint-based criminal history check
